After the sunset over the Indian Ocean, Northbridge, a district one block back from the city, springs to life. Northbridge has several blocks of restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and night-clubs. The night's last revellers make their way home as the sun rises over the Darling Range.
Subiaco is a more chic area for eating, drinking and dancing. The Subiaco Hotel pub is a must.
This now trendy night-time area has plenty of cafes and groovy bars and pubs. Most are centred along Beaufort Street. Try the Queens Hotel pub and The Shed Brisbane Hotel pub. Sunday afternoon/evenings the Sunday session is very popular here.
The streets around King Street have some classy cafes and bars, plus the odd sports bar. Late night shopping on Friday evenings, along with the after work crowd makes this area bustle at the end of the week.
Restaurants and cafes abound along the main streets of Fremantle. There are some amazing pubs, some of which brew their own beef on the premises. The Sail and Anchor Pub and now the very trendy Little Creatures have very popular micro-breweries and restaurants. Other pubs are famous as live music venues. Try the many fish and chips eateries around the fishing boat harbour.
There is a no better example of Perths famous Sunday session than at Cottesloes pubs. Get here early, especially on hot Sundays.
The Leederville cafe strip is a popular eating spot. The Leederville Hotel is a massive pub and normally gets full on Wednesday nights.
The main strip in Claremont has several cafes, a pub and club. This is popular with Perths elite.

This area is popular with surfie locals and offers a real cross-section of Perth people. There is a club and a couple of bars. Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings are generally busy here.
