Around a dozen wineries are within the Mandurah/Peel region.
Peel Estate was established in 1974 and produces very good Shiraz, Chenin blanc and a very acceptable premium red. Tuart Ridge was established in early 1990 and offers Shiraz, Carbernet sauvignon and an excellent Rose.
There are no restaurants attached to these wineries, but a picnic area with free use of electric barbeques is available at Peel Estate.
