One of the most scenic and idyllic locations in the Kimberley, with spectacular views and tranquil surroundings, the area of the 7000,000-acre Home Valley working Kimberley Cattle Station was once reputed to be a *'poddy dodger's corner' *a cattle rustler; one who steals unbranded calves. Home Valley Station is featured as parts of the outback and Faraway Downs Station and the exhausting 1000km cross country cattle drive in the movie Australia which features station horses, mustering, dinnercamps, yardwork, cattle dogs, bronco yards, and stockcamps on the long cattle drive.
The aboriginal Balanggarra people of the East Kimberley now own Home Valley Station; local Aboriginal people are strongly involved in all aspects of the Station's operations. These original Australians have helped to make Home Valley Station into a joyous hub of activity that caters aboriginal trainees from across the Kimberley who learns tourism skills, horsemanship, stock handling, fencing, landscaping, and other practical outback skills.

Nestled at the base of the majestic Cockburn Range the Home Valley Station is an adventure land of natural attractions; thermal springs, towering gorges, stunning waterfalls, rivers and waterholes brimming with wildlife. The mighty Pentecost and Durack rivers create salt flats, rock escarpments, natural springs and billabongs. Canoeing in the Bindoola Creek gorge system and horse trekking tours are available at the Station.
