| DAY 1
|
Perth - Geraldton
|
| |
• Head north through the vineyards of beautiful Swan Valley, before joining Brand Highway at Muchea. Leaving the Darling Scarp, air becomes drier, richer soils give way to sandy plains, soon the unique floral varieties of the region begin to appear.
• Stop wherever the flowers are out, possibly detouring off the main highway through Dandaragan and Badgingarra. Enjoy the wide variety of Kangaroo Paws, from the unique black to red or green.
• Numerous varieties of Banksias and Dryandras can be found en route to Mt Lesueur National Park, which is noted for its wide diversity of wildflowers.
• Enjoy a picnic lunch among the bush before rejoining the highway and travelling on to the night stop at Geraldton.

| DAY 2
|
Geraldton - Kalbarri
|

• Head north of Geraldton visit the pretty Cray fishing and holiday town of Kalbarri. En route travel through historic Northampton turning off the highway at Ajana, looking out for local species, of beautiful Kangaroo Paws, Wattles and Grevilleas.
• Enter the Kalbarri National Park, the coastal scrub thickens and notice smaller trees of Banksias, Hakea and Smoke bush dotted amongst the heath.
• Visit the Hawks Head Lookout at the Murchison River along the coast, with an opportunity to stop at the rugged coastal gorges at Red Bluff to view the spectacular scenery.
• This area is steeped in early exploration history, but also offers beautiful coastal flora species.

| DAY 3
|
Kalbarri - Geraldton
|

• Leaving the coast head inland to Mullewa, via the Wildflower Way, including Coalseam Conservation Park, known to be abundant with wildflowers. This region is home to many species of coastal and inland wildflowers.
• It is best known for its everlastings. Carpets of yellow, pink and white Everlastings can be found in various inland areas along the verges and often in fields. Plenty of time to stop and enjoy natures colourful bounty.
• Continue further inland, looking out for the rare Wreath flower, and Leschenaultia Macrantha, before returning back to Geraldton.

| DAY 4
|
Geraldton - Perth
|

• The final day discovers the delights of the Midlands region, enjoying the flowers en route including the white Verticordias, Grevilleas and the magnificent Mottlecah.
• If time permits visit historic New Norcia, which is the home of the Benedictine Monks, Abbey and Nursery, with its distinctive architecture that silhouettes beautifully against the Australian landscape.
• Enjoy a picnic lunch, return to Perth on a scenic route at the discretion of your experienced coach captain and botanical guide, perhaps though the beautiful Chittering Valley for some last minute flowers to be discovered back toward the coast.
• Arrive back in Perth early evening.
