Day 2 Broome Free Time

Explore Broome at your leisure, relaxing on one of the many glorious beaches, enjoying a refreshing beer at Matsos Brewery, or experiencing an unforgettable sunset camel ride along Cable Beach.

Broome cultured South Sea Pearls are regarded as the finest in the world. Perhaps browse the historic Pearl Luggers exhibition of Chinatown, and take home a piece of stunning jewellery as a memento of your visit.

Day 3 Broome to Karratha

Watch the beautiful landscape of the Great Sandy Desert unfold as you travel to Port Hedland- the highest tonnage port in Australia.

  • Continue to Karratha, a bustling mining town near the beautiful islands of the Dampier Archipelago.

    Day 4 Karratha to Karijini

    Travel to Karijini National Park. The fiery red Pilbara landscape abruptly gives way to mighty gorges, swimming holes and pockets of lush vegetation, and huge termite mounds stand alongside skeleton-like gum trees in this spectacular National Park.

    The Karijini Visitors Centre offers a wealth of knowledge about the traditional Aboriginal owners of the land, their Dreamtime stories and relationship to this amazing place.

    Day 5 Karijini to Tom Price

    Explore Karijini in the morning light, before continuing on to the mining town of Tom Price.

    A guided tour of the Open Cut Iron Ore Mine will give you an interesting insight into the mining industry which plays a huge role in the Western Australian economy.

    Day 6 Tom Price to Exmouth

    Visit Giralia Station, a former sheep station that in 2002 was declared a National Park. Its amazing ecology draws keen fishermen and birdwatchers from all over the globe, and it also hosts a number of ancient fossils which may be of dinosaur origin.

    Continue to the coastal town of Exmouth. This former World War Two military base is now a popular holiday destination and is visited by both hump back whales and whalesharks throughout the year.

    Day 7 Exmouth to Coral Bay to Monkey Mia

    Arrive in Coral Bay, and enjoy a cruise on the spectacular Ningaloo Reef- the largest coral reef in Western Australia, and home to regular congregations of the elusive Whalesharks.

    Marvel at the sheer size and number of North West Snapper that populate the shallow waters of the bay. The area immediately around Coral Bay is a protected fishing sanctuary, allowing the populations of fish, and many other marine animals, to flourish.

    Continue to Monkey Mia- home to a large pod of friendly bottle nosed dolphins.

    Day 8 Monkey Mia

    Rise early to take part in the famous dolphin feeding experience. Almost every day for the last 40 years, a small group of bottle-nosed dolphins have come to the shore to snack on fresh fish and interact with the locals.

    If you are lucky, you may be selected to help hand-feed these beautiful animals.

    Day 9 Monkey Mia to Kalbarri to Geraldton

    See the incredible Stromatolites at Hamelin Pool, which are living examples of the oldest organisms on the planet.

    Visit the amazing Shell Beach. Stretching 110kms along the shore, the beach is composed of billions of tiny white shells, which contrast spectacuarly with the bright blue waters of the bay.

    Continue to Kalbarri National Park- a dramatic landscape of gorges and rushing waterways, before arriving in Geraldton for a tour of this historic town.

    Day 10 Geraldton to Perth

    See the eerie limestone towers known as The Pinnacles in Nambung National Park before continuing to Yanchep National Park for a fascinating Aboriginal cultural experience.

    Watch traditional Aboriginal dances and hear the extraordinary sound of the didjeridu.
