Day 1 Broome

Enjoy an afternoon at your own leisure in one of Western Australias premier holiday spots, Broome, before settling down in the evening for a welcome drink with your fellow travellers and Tour Director.

Day 2 Broome

Acquaint yourself with this beautiful and iconic beachside town with free time to stroll the 22 kilometres of turquoise water at Cable Beach, enjoy a cocktail at popular Matsos Brewery, scour the pearl merchants or join a beach camel ride at sunset.

Day 3 Broome to Fitzroy Crossing

Visit port town Derby on the edge of King Sound and see the famous Boab Prison Tree which was used as an overnight holding cell for criminals, then travel to the remote township of Fitzroy Crossing.

Day 4 Fitzroy Crossing to Halls Creek

Heading East towards Halls Creek, stop for a boat cruise through breathtaking Geikie Gorge, a natural beauty with 30 metre high rock walls caused by the Fitzroy River tunneling through the Napier Range.

Continue to historic Hall Creek, situated on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert and gateway to the World Heritage Listed Purnululu National Park.

Day 5 Halls Creek to Bungle Bungles

After transferring to 4WD vehicles more capable of negotiating rugged terrain, embark on a journey into Purnululu National Park to get up close and personal with the unique natural formations of this area.

Discover beautiful Cathedral Gorge, a natural rock amphitheatre with amazing acoustics, before moving on to the famous Beehives rock domes created by 20 million years of erosion.

Day 6 Bungle Bungles to El Questro

Take a leisurely walk into Echidna Chasm - completely surrounded by near vertical rock faces and teeming with palm trees - you can really appreciate the enormity of the Bungle Bungles at this spot.

Head back to the coach and continue to stunning El Questro Wilderness Park which makes up one million acres of diverse unspoilt land on the eastern perimeter of the Kimberley.

Day 7 El Questro

Cruise through Chamberlain Gorge, a 3km long fresh waterhole with diverse tropical flora and fauna.

You have the opportunity to join a hike into spectacular Emma Gorge where the contrast of a tranquil waterfall against the fiery red terrain will leave you inspired.

Day 8 El Questro to Kununurra

After rejoining the Gibb River Road, travel to Parry Lagoon Nature Reserve to see some unique birdlife before continuing to Wyndham for spectacular views of the Kimberley from the 5 Rivers Lookout.

A visit to the historic Durack Homestead pioneer museum is an opportunity to see the dedicated reconstruction of a Kimberley icon, followed by a cruise along the Ord River starting in Lake Argyle and finishing in Kununurra.

Day 9 Kununurra to Katherine

Travelling through vast countryside and outback cattle stations, the isolation and sparseness of the land is both beautiful and amazing as you progress towards Katherine in the Northern Territory.

Day 10 Katherine to Darwin

Jump on a boat cruise through the stunning Katherine Gorge with its towering cliff faces and placid waters before soaking up the atmosphere of tropical Darwin on a sightseeing tour in the afternoon.

After a leisurely breakfast, your tour concludes.
