Day 1 Perth - Margaret River

Travel south towards the jarrah forests of Dwellingup for a stop at the Forest Heritage Centre where some of the best locally crafted woodworks are on display.

Travel through the popular holiday resort of Busselton, set on the shores of Geographe Bay, before a tour through the Margaret River caves to see the amazing natural wonder of Mammoth Cave and a chance to see animal fossils.

Continue to Western Australias premier wine growing region, Margaret River, before enjoying a relaxing welcome drink with your fellow travellers.

Day 2 Margaret River

Take a scenic journey through the picturesque Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park which stretches from Cape Naturaliste on the northern tip of the land to Cape Leeuwin on the southern tip. See the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse on your way.

Head to Palandri Winery for a wine tasting and tour of this iconic winery, plus a delicious lunch amongst the beautiful vineyard setting.

For those who still have room for food, exploring the ever popular Margaret River Chocolate Factory will make sweet-tooths jump for joy with their range of delicious chocolate products.

Day 3 Margaret River - Albany

A visit to the enormous Gloucester tree, standing 61 metres above the forest floor, will take your breath away. It is also the highest fire lookout tree in the world.

  • Journey through the Valley of the Giants where you will have the opportunity to stroll through the canopy of gigantic tingle and karri trees on the Tree Top Walk.
  • Continuing on towards Albany, stop at Torndirrup National Park which is famous for the Natural Bridge – a massive rock bridge hanging over torrid ocean waters below. Head to Whaleworld to learn about Albanys seafaring past.

    Day 4 Albany - Esperance

    Contemplate the past with a visit to the ANZAC Memorial and take in the panoramic views of the coast. It is a tribute to the first and second ANZAC convoys that left from Albany during World War One.

    Travel into the beautiful Stirling Ranges for a scenic stop at Bluff Knoll Lookout before pressing on towards Esperance with a visit to the famous Pink Lake – its unique colour attributed to the high concentrations of salt tolerant algae.

    Day 5 Cape Le Grand - Kalgoorlie

    Travel into Cape Le Grand National Park for the last coastal stop on the tour, before heading north through Norseman towards the historic gold-mining town of Kalgoorlie.

    A stop at the Golden Superpit Lookout rewards onlookers with a jaw-dropping view of Australias largest open-cut gold mine, and a tour through the town reveals the interesting history of the famous Exchange Hotel and infamous Hay Street.

    Day 6 Kalgoorlie

    Try gold-panning for a chance to score your own gold nugget, witness gold bullion being poured, and tour the underground Mining Reserve.

    Learn about the iconic and historic Royal Flying Doctor Service and how it helps remote Australians in need of medical assistance.

    Use some leisure time to explore Kalgoorlie and perhaps drop in on the locals at one of the many pubs along Hannan Street.

    Day 7 Wave Rock

    Travel through the former ghost town of Coolgardie and witness the shanty homes where it was once left deserted.

    Heading back towards the west coast, take a break at the unique Wave Rock which is a natural three million year old granite structure resembling a giant wave.

    Push on towards Western Australias oldest inland town, York, which was settled in 1831 – only two years after the capital Perth. Later, head towards to the popular coastal town of Fremantle.

    Day 8 Fremantle - Perth

    Tour Fremantle at your own leisure. Perhaps visit the busy Markets for a souvenir and walk to the vibrant Fishing Boat Harbour for a decent feed of fish and chips.

    Join a walking tour to discover the heritage of this port town and learn about how this area it is part of the Aboriginal Dreaming Trail.

    Cruise along the Swan River and take in the sights of Perth city, where the tour concludes.
