DAY 3 Monkey Mia - Coral Bay

Rise early in the morning for the opportunity to encounter the dolphins of Monkey Mia. Delight in interacting with these intelligent animals and feel privileged to be in one of the few places in the world where wild dolphins greet people.

Take advantage of the opportunity to go sailing in Shark Bay where you may have the chance to see marine life including dugongs and marine turtles in the transparent water. Farewell the dolphins and journey to Shell Beach where you can discover the billions of tiny coquina bivalve shells that line the shore.

Continue north via Carnarvon to Warroora Station sheep station which is situated on an impressive 50 kilometre secluded stretch of the Ningaloo Reef. Relish in eating camp oven cooked food including damper by the campfire.

Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of kangaroos, emus and other wildlife as you make your way between Carnarvon and Coral Bay in the morning.

Experience the point where the stunning Ningaloo Reef is closest to the shore once you arrive in Coral Bay.

Participate in an optional glass bottom boat tour of the bay where you may have the chance to encounter some of the 450 species of fish that the reef contains. Alternatively, try spotting some dugongs by snorkelling in the sheltered waters.

Spend the mid afternoon travelling north past Cape Range National Park and the northern end of Ningaloo Reef to the town of Exmouth where you will stay overnight.

Revel in an optional cruise in Cape Range National Park, at your own expense. View the extensive range of wildlife that the area has to offer and perhaps even spot the rare black footed Rock Wallaby.

People wanting to get closer to the clear waters of Ningaloo Reef can choose to go snorkelling instead or just relax by drifting aimlessly over the coral of Turquoise Bay.

An optional diving tour is available, at your own expense, which allows you to spend the day searching the magnificent Ningaloo Reef or chasing the elusive whale shark before returning to Exmouth for an overnight sleep.
