Journey north via the vineyards of the Swan Valley and the little country town of Bindoon, stopping for morning tea before continuing on to the township of New Norcia, an active monastic community.
Embark on a fascinating tour of the monastery interior and other buildings of interest with a knowledgeable local guide. Visit Abbey Church and the colleges of St Ildephonsus and St Gertrude, with their distinctive Spanish architecture and woodwork.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the New Norcia Hotel, then view works of the Old Masters, priceless manuscripts and religious artifacts and paintings in the Museum and Art Gallery.
Be tempted by the displays of New Norcia bread, nut cake and wine, before returning to Perth via the scenic, rolling countryside of the Chittering Valley.
Departs: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8.30am.
