Day 2 Monkey Mia to Kalbarri
Wake up this morning to the sound of seabirds, and make your way down to the crystal waters of the bay, where you may be lucky enough to experience one of Australias most famous wildlife encounters.
Each morning for more than 40 years, a pod of wild bottlenose dolphins have swum to the shallows of Monkey Mia to interact with people. You have the chance to witness these magical creatures close up, as they frolic and feed in the clear waters.
Visit the amazing Shell Beach, where billions of snow-white shells line the coastline. Then discover the oldest organisms on the planet: the stromatolites. Hamelin Pool is one of only three places on Earth where you can see these living fossils.
Finish an incredible day with a trip to Kalbarri National Park, where nature has carved magnificent rocky landscapes, red river gorges and vast, rolling sandplains. In the spring, 800 species of colourful wildflowers burst into bloom.
