Day 1 Broome to Windjana Gorge

Depart Broome and travel to the Derby Prison Tree for a short visit.

Leave the bitumen behind you as you enter the Gibb River Road, almost instantly you can feel the remoteness.

In the afternoon take a walk up Windjana Gorge, which is sure to impress.

Overnight: Camping in Windjana National Park

Day 2 Windjana Gorge to Bells Gorge

Have your bathers and torches ready to explore Tunnel Creek.

This amazing tunnel cuts through the Napier Range and is rich in history.

Overnight: Camping at Silent Grove

Day 3 Bells Gorge to Mt Barnett Station

On the way to Galvans Gorge, travel through the beautiful scenery of the Kimberleys highest mountain range, the King Leopold Ranges.

For those who feel like a walk, a visit to Manning Gorge in the afternoon is recommended.

Day 4 Mt Barnett Station to King Edward River

Leave the Gibb River Road and Travel on Kalumburu Road to Mitchell Plateau, visiting Drysdale River Station.

In the afternoon you have the chance to explore the area and take a dip in the river.

Day 5 Mitchell Plateau and Falls

Make full use of the 4WD capacity as you travel to the Mitchell Falls.

Experience an optional helicopter flight over these falls, where you can see some of the remotest country in the world.

Day 6 King Edward River to El Questro

Visit Aboriginal paintings in the area.

Depart Mitchell Plateau and travel back down Kalumburu Road to rejoin the Gibb River Road.

Journey through the majestic Cockburn Ranges, and have your camera ready as you wind your way towards El Questro.

Overnight: El Questro

Day 7 El Questro to Kununurra

Spend the morning enjoying a walk to stunning Emma Gorge, with a rewarding swim in the crystal clear waters, before travelling to Kununurra.
