DAY 1 Broome to Windjana Gorge
Depart Broome early in the morning and head to the Derby Prison Tree for a short visit. Learn how the hollow centre of the boab tree was previously used by police patrols to store prisoners that were being walked into Derby.
Feel the instant remoteness of the rugged Gibb River Road as you leave the bitumen behind you.
Experience a 350 million year old Devonian reef rising majestically above the surrounding plains as you take an afternoon walk up Windjana Gorge. Observe the primeval life forms fossilised within the walls of the gorge as you wander along the easy path.
Set up camp at Windjana National Park and view the Napier Range glowing in the evening sun.

DAY 2 Windjana Gorge to Bells Gorge
Explore the water worn tunnel of Tunnel Creek this morning which flows beneath the limestone of the Napier Range.
Wade through several permanent pools in your bathers and use a torch to look for bats and the stalactites that descend from the roof in many places. Learn about the rich history of the Napier Range from your guide as you travel through the tunnel.
Travel to Bell Gorge that lies within King Leopold Range Conservation Park. Immerse yourself in a beautiful scene of water cascading down over rocks to the pool below. Camp overnight in Bell Gorge.

DAY 3 Bells Gorge to Manning Gorge
Leave Bell Gorge in the morning and travel through the rugged mountains of the King Leopold Ranges towards Galvans Gorge. Put on your bathers and swing on the tree rope before plummeting into the pool below.
Alternatively, you can lean against on the rocks underneath the falls and enjoy a back massage from the water. Walk to Manning Gorge in the afternoon where there is Aboriginal rock art for you to examine and pools to swim in near the falls.
Camp adjacent to the tranquil pools of the lower Manning River at Mt Barnett Station.

DAY 4 Manning Gorge to King Edward River
Depart the rough Gibb River Road today and journey along the equally rugged Kalumburu Road towards Mitchell Plateau where you will visit the Drysdale River Station along the way.
Experience life on a working cattle station once you arrive at the Drysdale River Station.
Enjoy an afternoon dip in the King Edward River and take the time to explore the area before dinner.

DAY 5 Mitchell Falls
Continue towards the Mitchell Plateau today and encounter its masses of Mitchell Plateau palms before tackling the slow rough track leading to Mitchell Falls.
Explore Mitchell and Mertens Falls on foot and discover some amazing Aboriginal rock art and beautiful scenery. Immerse yourself in watching the water cascade over layers of rock into a deep pool at Mitchell Falls.
Walk into Mitchell Falls and take advantage of an optional scenic helicopter flight where you will orbit around the falls and witness incredible views of the area from above.
Return in the late afternoon to the King Edward River for another night of camping underneath the stars. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for wildlife such as dingos, kangaroos and birds that are in abundance within the area.

DAY 6 King Edward River to Home Valley
Visit Aboriginal paintings in the area this morning before departing from the river camp and the Mitchell Plateau.
Travel back towards the Drysdale River Station to rejoin the Gibb River Road.
Tonight camp at Home Valley Station, a working cattle station.

DAY 7 Home Valley to El Questro
Follow the Gibb River Road and journey through the majestic orange cliffs of the Cockburn Ranges that rise more than 600 metres above the plains.
Have your camera on hand to take photos of the spectacular scenery and panoramic views of the Cockburn Ranges, Cambridge Gulf and the twin Durack and Pentecost Rivers.
Arrive at El Questro Station and take a walk to the stunning Emma Gorge. Delight in a rewarding swim in the crystal clear waters.
Establish camp overnight in El Questro Wilderness Park along the Pentecost River.

DAY 8 El Questro
Spend the morning soaking in the thermal pools of Zebedee Springs. Enjoy the consistent thermal water that rises from deep beneath the earths tectonic plates from as far as New Guinea.
In the afternoon take up the option of exploring Chamberlain Gorge in a dinghy and observe the wildlife and Aboriginal art of the area. Discover the tropical vegetation and tall escarpments that border the area.
Return to your campsite at El Questro Station for another nights sleep.

DAY 9 Explore Kununurra
Leave El Questro Station in the morning and journey to Wyndham and marvel at the view from Five Rivers Lookout at the summit of the Bastion Range. Witness the Ord, Forest, King, Durack and Pentecost Rivers merge with the Cambridge Gulf.
Travel onto Kununurra after lunch and stop to view the bird life of Parry Lagoons Nature Reverse.
View birds from the shaded wetland at Marlgu Billabong that is home to more than 200 bird species or scan the wide vistas of the flood plain from Telegraph Hill.
Enjoy camping overnight at the edge of Lake Kununurra.

DAY 10 Kununurra
Explore the sites of Kununurra today, at your own expense. You may like to visit Lake Argyle which was created by the damming of the Ord River and is the largest body of fresh water in Australia.
Alternatively, you can take a flight to the Argyle Diamond Mine and see aerial views of the largest producing diamond mine in the world or relax with a boat cruise on the Ord River.
Spend another night camping in Kununurra.

DAY 11 Kununurra to Bungle Bungles
Rise early in the morning and head south for a scenic drive through the mountain ranges of the Carr Boyd Ranges and Durack Range to Turkey Creek. Experience the Aboriginal community of Turkey Creek before continuing to the Bungle Bungles.
Discover the unbelievable beehive like formations and plunging gorges of Purnululu National Park.
Visit Echidna Chasm on the northern side of the Bungle Bungles in the afternoon. Immerse yourself in the huge vertical cliffs of the narrow gorge.
Set up camp at one of the campsites in Purnululu National Park and relax while enjoying the sunset of the Bungle Bungle Massif.

DAY 12 Bungle Bungles
Experience an unforgettable helicopter flight over the Bungle Bungles this morning, at your own expense. Gain a unique perspective of the tiger-striped sandstone dome formations that rise out of the arid landscape
Drive to the other side of the Bungle Bungles for a spectacular walk through the beehive formations and the spectacular gorges including Cathedral Gorge.
Encounter the fascinating acoustics of the huge amphitheatre at Cathedral Gorge. Hear how people on the opposite side can sound like they are right behind you.
Spend the night camping again in Purnululu National Park.

DAY 13 Bungle Bungles to Fitzroy Crossing
Begin the day early as you leave the Bungle Bungles behind you and head back to the highway towards the once thriving gold town of Halls Creek. Halls Creek is now home to successful farming and mining industries.
Stop overnight at Fitzroy Crossing where you will camp at Fitzroy Lodge.

Day 14 Fitzroy Crossing to Broome
Travel to Geikie Gorge for a morning visit after packing up camp for the last time. See how the mighty Fitzroy River has carved a 30 metre deep gorge into the remains of the ancient limestone barrier reef.
Enjoy an optional boat cruise on the Fitzroy River through Geikie Gorge. Keep an eye out for freshwater crocodiles and barramundi that are plentiful in the river.
Return to Broome later in the day and visit Cable Beach. This is where your unique Kimberley experience comes to a close.
