Travel through the dramatic Kimberley outback, passing cattle stations that cover millions of acres. Stop for a short tour of the historic cattle township of Fitzroy Crossing.
Arrive at Geikie Gorge, where the Oscar and Geikie Ranges converge. Carved through the pre-historic Devonian Reef, the freshwater gorge is the habitat of sawfish, crocodiles, rays, exotic birds and many native animals.
Have the opportunity to wander the gorge river bank or soak up the sun for an hour before joining the National Park Ranger Cruise. During the cruise, marvel at the birdlife and keep an eye out for crocodiles.
Alternatively, experience a Darngku Heritage Cruise, with a guide from the Bunuba Aboriginal people, and immerse yourself in the Aboriginal culture. Learn how to make fire, track animals, and hear stories carried from the Dreamtime.
Departs: Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (Mid May - Mid Oct 2009 and April to November 2010) at 7.45am.
