Day 1 Perth to Kalbarri

Head off to the majestic Pinnacles desert where you can view thousands of huge limestone pillars rising from the yellow sands.

Enjoy a visit to Hangover Bay with its magnificent white sand, and take a swim or just relax on the beach.

En route to Kalbarri, admire the spectacular coastal gorges and travel through Geraldton, one of Australias busiest regional ports.

Day 2 Kalbarri to Monkey Mia

Discover Murchison Gorge in Kalbarri National Park, where you can explore The Loop.

Lookouts here are positioned to give different perspectives of the Murchison River. See Natures Window, a natural rock arch superbly framing the upstream view, and Z-Bend, a rock lookout that overhangs the river.

Stop at Eagle Bluff, a spectacular viewing area for marine life. The shallow waters below the boardwalk are teeming with colourful fish, rays, turtles, sharks and the occasional dugong.

Continue to Shell Beach, one of only two beaches in the world that consists of tiny shells. Marvel at the tonnes of bleached white shells forming a beach up to 1km wide and many kilometres long.

Day 3 Monkey Mia Region to Carnarvon

Make your way to the waters edge at the dolphin interaction beach, where you may encounter the famous Monkey Mia dolphins.

  • Enjoy a cruise (optional extra) and witness the amazing Monkey Mia dolphins as they play in their natural environment. Look out for dugongs and sea turtles.
  • Continue on to Hamelin Pool where you will discover the worlds oldest living organisms - the Stromatolites.

    Day 4 Carnarvon to Coral Bay

    Experience the wonders of Ningaloo; a 260km long barrier reef that protects a beautiful, white sandy lagoon. It is one of the only places in the world where you can walk from the beach straight onto a coral reef.

    Enjoy free time to relax and explore this stunning area. Take a cruise on a glass bottom boat, snorkel, or even enjoy a scenic flight (activities at own expense).

    Day 5 Exmouth to Karijini

    Journey into the depths of the breathtaking Karijini National Park, formed over 2,500 million years ago.

    One of Australias largest national parks, Karijini is famous for its unusual landforms including cascading waterfalls, still waterholes and stunning gorges.

    Continue to Joffre Lookout, and discover how the spectacular curved waterfall forms a natural amphitheatre.

    Day 6 Karijini National Park

    Prepare for the breathtaking view at the Oxer Lookout, which stands at the junction of four mighty gorges: Red, Weano, Joffre and Hancock. Take a walk into Weano Gorge and see the spectacular Kalamina Falls.

    Discover stories of the Aboriginal people and learn about their culture at the Karijini Visitor Centre.

    Head out towards Dales Gorge, and enjoy a walk along the gorge rim, taking in the impressive views.

    Venture into the magnificent Fortescue Falls, and take a refreshing swim at Fern Pool.

    Day 7 Karijini to Port Hedland

    Discover the engineer within when you visit Tom Price, and enjoy a guided tour of an open-cut iron ore site. See the haul truck workshop area, the main pit and watch the trucks, shovels and drills in action at the crushing and screening plants.

    Stop at Mount Bruce for an amazing aerial view of Marandoo Mine Site.

    Continue to Port Hedland, the largest town in the Pilbara. Due to the massive mining operations, this town is home to Australias largest port.

    Visit Koombana Lookout and admire the panoramic views across the port entrance and the Port Hedland hinterland. Its also a wonderful place to spot marine life.

    Day 8 Port Hedland to Broome

    At Dalgety House Museum, gain insight into the impact of settlers on the Aboriginal people of the Pilbara. Explore the extensive collection of documents, photographs and artefacts.

    Visit the stunning Eighty Mile Beach. This pristine coastline is perfect for fossicking for shells or just sitting back and enjoying your beautiful surroundings.

    Day 9 Broome

    Enjoy a fascinating tour of Broome. Hear stories of the colourful Chinatown, visit a pearl shop, admire the local architecture, see the homes of old pearling masters, learn about Broomes One Day War, and marvel at the aqua waters of Roebuck Bay.

    Take in an historical sound show at the famous Sun Pictures, the worlds oldest open-air picture garden.

    Visit Matsos Broome Brewery to sample their handmade ales and delicious ginger beer.

    Take an easy paced walk to Gantheaume Point - famous for its dinosaur footprints - and hear the touching story of Anastasia's Pool. Watch the sun go down from the beautiful Cable Beach.

    Today is yours to explore Broome at your leisure. Perhaps visit one of the local art galleries, see the incredible beasts at Broome Crocodile Park, take a camel ride or just relax on the beach.

    Day 11 Cape Leveque

    Journey through rugged terrain to the coastal wilderness of Cape Leveque. Located at the tip of the Dampier Peninsular, the cape offers stunning views of Western Beach, where the red cliffs meet the ocean.

    4WD onto the beach where you can swim, relax, or walk along this pristine stretch of coastline.

    Enjoy a guided tour of Lombadina Aboriginal Community, and learn about community lifestyle today. See the community church, considered to be a bush architecture masterpiece.

    There is an opportunity to take a scenic flight over the pristine aqua waters of the Buccaneer Archipelago Islands (own expense).

    Day 12 Broome to Fitzroy Crossing

    Venture north to Willare Bridge, and cross the mighty Fitzroy River.

    Join a National Park Ranger for a fascinating cruise through Geikie Gorge. Look out for saltwater crocodiles, exotic birds and other native animals.

    Day 13 Fitzroy Crossing to Bungle Bungle Ranges

    Set off along the Great Northern Highway passing through Halls Creek. Discover the unusual geological formation, China Wall.

    Tackle the rugged road into the Purnululu National Park. Recently listed as a World Heritage Site, this spectacular wilderness park is home to the Bungle Bungle Ranges.

    These majestic formations are the product of 20 million years of erosion and river movements.

    Enjoy an easy paced walk into the stunning Echidna Chasm, known for its towering Livistonia Palms.

    Day 14 Bungle Bungle Ranges to Kununurra

    Test the acoustics at the Cathedral Gorge; a natural amphitheatre where you can inspect the Bungle Bungle domes up close.

    You may wish to take an optional scenic flight ahead to Kununurra, and enjoy aerial sightseeing of the Bungle Bungles, Argyle Diamond Mine, Ord River and the massive Lake Argyle.

    Day 15 Kununurra to El Questro

    Cruise from Kununurra up the Ord River to the beautiful Lake Argyle. Pay a visit to the Ord River Irrigation Scheme plantations and Ivanhoe Crossing – a causeway over the mighty river. Keep an eye out for the saltwater crocodiles, which trawl just beneath

    Visit the historic port town of Wyndham, and enjoy breathtaking views from the Five Rivers Lookout Point. See the five great rivers - King, Pentecost, Durack, Ord and Forrest – flow into the Cambridge Gulf.

    Set off along the legendary Kimberley stock route – the Gibb River Road.

    Travel through the ruggedly beautiful Cockburn Ranges. Marvel at the stunning scenery that formed the dramatic backdrop for Baz Luhrmans epic movie, Australia.
