Kimberley Coastal Adventure
Travel north from Broome through the remote and pristine Dampier Peninsular to Middle Lagoon and Cape Leveque, located at the edge of the spectacular Buccaneer Archipelago and King Sound. These ancient Aboriginal lands of the Bardi people contain scenic treasures few people have seen. Spectacular red pindan cliffs, amazing azure waters and the abundance of wildlife will last in your memory. The aboriginal settlements and old missions welcome the few visitors that venture their way with warm hospitality and great pride in their culture and history.

DAY 1 Broome – Kooljaman
• Head northeast from Broome passing Country Downs Station. Visit Beagle Bay, see the unique pearl shell church altar.
• Arrive Mid Lagoon, tranquil coastal area, superb fishing, swimming and snorkelling.

DAY 2 Explore Kooljaman at Cape Leveque
• Visit Lombardina, see the world renowned mission church of corrugated iron lined with paper bark on bush timber supports.
• Perhaps buy an original aboriginal artifact or enjoy an authentic aboriginal bush tucker tour with one of the beautiful Bardi people.
• Enjoy excellent swimming and fishing. Or simply laze on an awesome beach and fill your soul.

DAY 3 Kooljaman – One Arm Point - Broome
• Explore One Arm Point and perhaps buy some beautiful trochus jewellery or other artifacts of the Bardi people. Continue back to Broome.

This itinerary takes you through some beautiful Kimberley wilderness, mostly on remote unsealed roads. Large wheel base 4WD vehicles with “no worries” unlimited kms are required.
