DAY 1 Perth - Kalgoorlie

Depart Perth onboard a 5 star express coach heading east to Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Afternoon wander Historic Hannan Street in the CBD of our Golden City.

DAY 2 Explore Kalgoorlie

See the magnificent architecture, the world renowned golden mile, the super pit and the infamous Hay Street red light district.

Visit the Australian prospectors and Miners Hall of Fame along with Hannan’s North Tourist Mine.

Take an underground tour.

Pan for gold and see a gold pouring demonstration.

DAY 3 Kalgoorlie – Laverton

Travel through many historic ghost towns before reaching the fascinating Sons of Gwalia Museum and the historical precinct.

  • Lunch in Leonora.
    • Laverton Downs Station for fabulous home cooked meals and true outback hospitality.

    DAY 4 Explore Laverton

    Windara Heritage Trail and the remains of the Poseidon Nickel Mine.

    Meet with a local prospector.

    Explore Laverton, an Aboriginal Art Gallery and the Old Gaol.

  • Giles Breakaways and a backdrop of wildflowers (in season).
    • Overnight: Overnight Laverton Downs Station

    DAY 5 Explore Kalgoorlie

    Remote ghost towns and mining centres before visiting Mount Morgan’s historic shire offices.

    Kookynie (population 11). A guided tour lunch at the Grand Hotel.

    Visit Niagara Dam, built in the 1890’s and then a brief tour of the town of Menzies.

    Overnight: Overnight Mercure Hotel Plaza.
