Beach Accommodation

Accommodation along the beach in Perth is very limited.

The largest capacity property is the famous Rendezvous Observation City Hotel right on Scarborough Beach. It is a 5 star property. Rendezvous Observation City Hotel is a central feature of Scarborough Beach as it is the only high-rise along the whole 12,000 km Western Australian coast line.

Other pockets of accommodation are available in other beachside suburbs, and Fremantle. However, the bulk of accommodation is in Perth city. More than 80% of people attending the Surf Life Saving Championships will be accommodated in Perth City. It is an exciting and vibrant 'second hub' for the event. Accommodation in the city is excellent value for money. See accommodation for the latest specials.

Scarborough Beach General Overview

Scarborough Beach is one of the most popular swimming and surfing spots in the metropolitan area, and is equipped with public toilets, showers and change rooms.
Take an invigorating stroll along the seemingly endless shoreline before plunging in for a dip. Or grab the surfboard and catch a wave. Scarborough Beach is also a favourite with bodyboarders, windsurfers and kite surfers - see them in action or join in the fun.

Scarborough has a smorgasbord of cafs, restaurants and fast food outlets, so it's a good choice for lunch. You can either dine-in or take away to enjoy on the large grassy areas or under picnic gazebos.

The sand is soft and bright white and the sweeping panoramas offer views to Fremantle in the south and Hillarys in the north.

Here, restaurants, cafes, shops, stores, markets, pubs, bars and nightclubs are within minutes of the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

The relaxed seaside atmosphere and attractions that Scarborough has to offer draws people to breakfast and brunch in the delightful alfresco restaurants and cafes.

The Perth sun can be intense. Please be Sun Smart and enjoy your holiday.
