4WD Safari Tours

Get off the beaten track and into the scenery with these 4WD-fun adventures in specially converted, modern off road vehicles with luxury coach seats and air-conditioning.

Often the heart of the real scenery is a fun 4WD off the main roads, making an "off road" vehicle absolutely necessary. Safari tours are an excellent way to fully experience all that the vast west coast has to offer.

Age is no barrier, the safari will suit anyone who is fit and adventurous. Great camaraderie is built during the tour as passengers lend a hand and become part of a 'team'.

There are no hidden extras. All equipment necessary for your safari is provided. All meals, entry fees, accommodation, cruises are included in the price.

Safari tours in this brochure tend to be upmarket with a variety of accommodation, depending on availability at these awesome scenic locations. Accommodation options include Cattle Station or Sheep Station stays, purpose built Safari Camps with permanent Safari Cabins or even luxury remote camping.

Overnight safari tour accommodation is defined as follows:

"Hotel/motel" - full commercial establishment.

"Cabins" - permanent structure with bed.

"Bush Cabins" - permanent structure with bed in remote location.

"Bunkhouse" - dormitory style accommodation with bed.

"Camp" - sleep in tents and swags with the finest equipment and billions and billions of bright stars overhead.

"Bush Camp" - sleep in tents and swags in remote location, wake up amongst the scenery.

"Facilities" Each tour indicates whether that night includes "facilities" or "no facilities". For this purpose, facilities is defined as shower, sinks and permanent toilets.

For example "Bush Cabins with share facilities" could be Safari Huts in a National Park with a shower/ablution block. "Bush Camp" could be tents and swags around a campfire.

Sleeping bags (or bed linen for accommodated safaris) are provided for free on most tours.

For extended Safaris - don't forget to bring: walking shoes (or strong runners), sun hat, sun cream, insect repellent (tropical strength), small personal water container, warm sweater for night time, two towels (for swimming and washing) plus your personal toiletries.

Drinks you bring can often be chilled on board. Much equipment is carried on the tour - so please keep luggage to a soft duffel (barrel) type bag less than 70 cm diameter or 10kg.
