More than 12,000 species can be found here. Many are totally unique to this part of the world. Thousands of amazing blooms are yet to be named.
The best locations for wildflower interaction starts with the Pilbara in the North during July, moving gradually south reaching Esperance in November.

North from Perth
North from Perth is best known for the carpets of amazing everlastings, but is home to a huge variety of coastal and inland wildflowers.
The fields of lollipop shaped everlastings flowers in yellow, pink and white are found in various inland areas, often along road verges.
En route to the Pinnacle Desert you can see everlastings, spider orchids, leschenaultia, fringe lilies, kangaroo paws and banksias.
Around Geraldton see river gums, Geraldton wax, gold and orange banksias, grevilleas, kangaroo paws, feather flowers, starflowers, smokebushes and eucalyptus are widespread.
Near Kalbarri you can expect to experience kangaroo paws, banksias, eucalypts and grevilleas.
Wattles, hakeas, grevilleas, dampiera, purple peas, Shark Bay daisies are common around Monkey Mia and the Shark Bay World Heritage Area.
Carnarvon has parakeelya, purple vetch, northern blue bells and birdflower.
Cape Range National Park - bordering the Ningaloo Reef - has an even greater concentrations of varieties, more than 650 found to date. Including: Ashburton peas, hairy pepperflowers, Yardie Creek morning glory, daisies, wattle, native tomatoes, hibbertia, native foxgloves, Sturt's desert pea, rattlebrush, green birdflower, toucan flower.
In the Pilbara you will be amazed at the amount of everlastings - literally as far as the eye can see - from horizon to horizon. The Pilbara has 50 species of wattle; mulga, acacia species, yellow native hibiscus, bluebells, sticky cassia, mulla mulla, native fuschias, spinifex, tangled morning glory, native almonds, holly leafed grevillea, sea been and mangroves.
South from Perth
South from Perth produces a wide diversity of wildflowers.
Southwest icons such as Margaret River, Albany, Pemberton, Denmark and Esperance are famous wildflower regions.
See dainty

such as orchids, milkmaids, honeypots, green kangaroo paws and mountain bells.
More than 150 species of orchids are known to inhabit the south west, along with grass trees like the Kingia australis, scented plants like the brown boronia and more than 165 species of eucalypts.
The south also boasts 80 species of carnivorous plants such as the Albany pitcher plant. Mistletoes including the amazing Western Australian Christmas trees are also common here.
Spectacular flowers include kangaroo paws, hakea, hardenbenbergia, chorizema, verctordia, blue lechenaultia, coral vine, morning iris, yellow buttercups, blue squill, tiny stars, pink and lemon rainbows, golden dryandraurchin hakeas, yellow and pink verticordias, red bottlebrush, mountain bells, orange/lemon scented darwinia, cat's paws, cockies tongue, parrot bush, holly flame tree, karri pea flower and the interestingly named snotty gobble. Orchids such as donkey, pink fairy, jug, star, blue china, rabbits ears, hammer, bird, red tongues spider, mantis, clubbed spider, white spider, pink enamel, cowslip, Queen of Sheba.
Bremer Bay's Fitzgerald River National Park is a particular mecca for wildflower enthusiasts due to its diversity of species.
East from Perth, York has pygmy sundew, rosy cheeked donkey orchids, climbing fringed lily, and mouse ears.
The Wave Rock area boasts a wide range of orchids, pink everlastings, bronze clossey, twisted gimlets, zigzag wattle, cowslip, native grasses, purple cyanostegia augustilolia, yellow glischocaryon and gimlet thicket.
The Kalgoorlie-Goldfields region has fields of everlastings as well as poached egg daisies, blue pincushion, pink mulla mulla, orange immortelle, acacia, hakea and Sturt's desert pea.
